The CAD software that is mentioned in the legacy CMA 402 (item #: CMA8003100 or CMA8003110) pump manuals is no longer available and is not compatible with modern operating systems.

The manual provides simple ACSII commands in Section 6 for programmable control. The commands can be sent from any software that can send plain text out over a (Virtual) COM port (such as MATlab, Labview, Python or even a terminal emulator).

Connection of the pump to the PC requires a RS232 serial port/USB adapter (Cable P/N CMA8002773 for the USB A-B). Generic RS232 to USB adapters may not work. A standard USB A to B cable does work to connect the CMA 402 Syringe Pump to a computer.
