The CMA 22 Guide is intended to be used in combination with the CMA 22 Flex Microdialysis Probe for microdialysis experiments in freely moving animals. It is specifically designed for implantation in soft tissues such as muscle, skin, subcutaneous adipose tissue, internal organs, and tumors.

The guide is supplied with a dummy cannula that has an extended flexible tip. When inserted, the dummy maintains an open channel in the tissue. This design allows the microdialysis probe to be introduced at a later time point after the animal has fully recovered from the initial surgery.
